History of the Coin:
This coin ring features the face of Helvetia, the female personification of Switzerland. She is encircled by the 22 stars representing the 22 cantons in which the Confederation then consisted. This coin ring is 83.5% silver and features an elaborate wreath on the inside of the band. It is also known as a 1 Franken and 1 Franco. This coin originates in Switzerland and has been circulated there as currency since the 1800s. Its star and wreath pattern makes for a great silver coin ring.
